Lillie Dell Knapp, 78, of Flemingsburg, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024, at her residence.
Born in Lewis County on July 19, 1945, her father was the late Cecil Swim and her mother was the late Helen Toller Swim.
Lillie worked for Cheap Mobile Housing and as a housekeeper for several families in the community. She loved her family and loved her flower garden. Her belief was in the Christian Holiness faith.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie Knapp and wife Teresa; her granddaughter, Katie Hord and husband Gage; and her three great grandchildren, Caleb Knapp, Olivia Hord, and Madison Hord. She is also survived by three of her siblings, Tommy Swim and wife Julie, Virgil Swim and wife Lori, and Bonnie Brown; along with many extended family members and friends.
In addition to her mother Helen and her father Cecil, Lillie was preceded in death by her first husband, Tommy Knapp; her second husband, Milton “Doc” Hardymon; and five of her siblings, Paul Swim, Wilburn Swim, Ruth Sapp, Louise Thoroughman, and Alice Swim.
The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Eubanks officiating.
Lillie will be laid to rest in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Brian Kinney, Gage Hord, Zachary Hyatt, Larry Gray, Brandon Swim, and Michael Bramel. Honorary pallbearers include Clell Knapp.
Visitation will be 11 a.m., until the hour of service at 1 p.m., Wednesday, at Boone-Nickell located at 150 West Water Street, Flemingsburg, Ky. 41041.
